Shepherding Up Shepherds
A plurality of elders is a beautiful gift to the church. But how does the church grow elders? Brad Wheeler knows a pastor's plate is already full: weekly preaching, counseling, meetings, home visits and sermon writing. It can be overwhelming to think about raising up future leaders in the midst of present needs. The solution isn't worldly principles for leadership but rather a prayerful heart, open eyes, and a trust in God's word to work through our public and private ministry.
About this seminar
This seminar explores how churches can identify and develop emerging shepherds within their own congregations — the ordinary, patient work of watching for faithful men and entrusting them with the care of the flock.
“What does it look like to care for our own flock while also raising up other men to shepherd it? How do we balance growing the healthy while we care for the sick?”
